Sacred laws governing all who dwell within the Loreline TTRPG halls. Read carefully, adventurer — ignorance is no shield against consequence.
"This hall was built upon a single truth: that the table is sacred. Whether you roll dice to forge legends or simply to find fellowship, you are welcome here — provided you honour your fellow adventurers."
Loreline is a community for tabletop roleplaying games of all kinds. These rules exist not to cage the imagination, but to ensure every member can explore it freely and safely.
Laws of behaviour binding all members of the guild.
Treat every member with dignity regardless of their experience level, system preferences, race, gender, sexuality, religion, or background. A Squire at their first session deserves the same respect as a veteran of twenty campaigns. Condescension, gatekeeping, and elitism have no seat at our table.
Each channel is a chamber with a purpose. Post TTRPG discussion in TTRPG channels, session recaps in the appropriate logs, and memes only where memes are welcomed. Misposting clutters the halls and buries the valuable scrolls others seek.
Harassment, threats, slurs, sexual advances without consent, and targeted bullying will result in immediate removal from the guild — no warnings, no appeals. The safety of our members is not a negotiation. This applies equally to in-character conduct: "my character would do this" is not a shield against the real harm your words may cause.
Many adventures are still being written. Before revealing plot twists, campaign endings, or module secrets, always use the designated spoiler tags or post in a clearly marked spoiler channel. A ruined surprise is a ruined session — and a ruined friendship.
TTRPG content can explore dark themes — this is part of its power. However, any content involving violence, trauma, horror, or mature themes must be prefaced with a clear Content Warning (CW) or Trigger Warning (TW) before the post. Use the established X-Card principle: if a fellow guild member signals discomfort, steer away without question or judgement.
Advertising your homebrew shop, Patreon, or Kickstarter is permitted only in the #merchant-quarter channel. Cold-messaging members with promotions, posting ads in unrelated channels, or repeatedly spamming your wares will result in a formal warning. Three warnings earn a ban.
When forming a party for play, all players are strongly encouraged to conduct a Session Zero: establish tone, safety tools, content boundaries, and expectations before the first die rolls. Groups that skip this ritual often find their campaigns ending in conflict rather than glory. Templates are available in #session-zero-toolkit.
D&D, Pathfinder, Ironsworn, GURPS, Mothership, Blades in the Dark — all systems are welcome, none superior. Dismissing another member's chosen system as inferior, trash, or lesser is the mark of a poor sport. Healthy debate about mechanical design is encouraged; contempt for players is not.
When sharing maps, tokens, artwork, music, or homebrew content created by others, always credit the original artist or author. Our community thrives because creators share their work. Honour them. If you are unsure of the source, say so rather than presenting another's work as your own.
Moderators are the Dungeon Masters of this space — their rulings are final. Arguing with, ignoring, or attempting to undermine a moderator's decision in public channels will result in escalating consequences. If you believe a ruling was unjust, submit an appeal via #council-appeals calmly and respectfully.

How justice is dispensed when the laws are broken.
A moderator will contact you privately or publicly to explain the violation and request it be corrected. Most matters end here for first-time offenders.
A temporary mute or restriction from specific channels ranging from 24 hours to 30 days, depending on the severity and recurrence of the offence.
A permanent ban from the guild. Reserved for repeat offenders and those who commit Zero Tolerance violations. Appeals may be filed after 90 days.
Witnessed a violation? Do not engage — report it. Reach out to any Moderator directly, or contact Dreadmore for assistance. All reports are treated with discretion. Retaliating against someone who reports you is itself a violation.
By acknowledging these rules you swear the following:
"I swear to uphold the charter of this guild, to treat my fellow adventurers with honour, and to keep the spirit of the table — of shared story, imagination, and trust — alive in every message I send. Should I stray from this oath, I accept the judgement of the Council."
To signal your acceptance, head to #rules in Loreline and react with ⚔️ to the pinned rules post.
This grants you the Adventurer role and full access to the guild halls.
